The IPC model D1028 represents the latest in closed-loop Bi-directional generator field control. Fully featured, the D1028 provides an isolated input from a externally microprocessor or PLC-generated speed pattern. The D1028 achieves excellent performance with less than 1% speed regulation. Operates on geared or gearless elevator systems from freight cars all the way up to 1400 FPM express applications. Through the use of tachometer feedback and a secondary current loop, the D1028 achieves precise control at over a 500:1 speed range. Completely isolated with LED indicators for all functions including comprehensive fault detection and diagnostics. Fully adjustable via potentiometers for signal gain, loop gain, current limit, contract speed and others. "Set-Up" mode provides operation without a tachometer during initial start-up. 7.5 A current limited output with generous safety margins for long service life. Included is a UL recognized mutitap transformer to provide correct field power for any job. Also included is a comprehensive step-by-step manual for a smooth and successful installation.
